Mr. Boydell. Portsmouth, Dec. 25, 1734. Sir,
The following copy of verses being wrote by a lady of
superiour genius, with which the world being very
unacquainted: It you will insert them in your next Monday's
Gazette, you will very much oblige several of your
subscribers in these parts, and particularly,
Sir, your humble servant, &c.
Hail Capt. Slayton may you happy be
Under the conduct of the blessed three
May be that ruleth Heaven Earth and Sea
Give you a pleasant passage if he please.
